Eastside Theater Company announces Open Auditions for  “Fiddler on the Roof”

Fiddler on the Roof is our June 2026 Production. The Artistic Team for this production is:

Our Schedule is as follows:

Rehearsals: March 30th - June 4th, 2026

Production Dates: June 5th-14th, 2026

Rehearsal Days: Sunday / Monday / Tuesday / Thursday 

Sun 4-8pm & Mon/Tue/Thu 6:00-9:00pm 

This will increase as we get closer to production dates.

No Conflict Zone: May 8th - June 15th, 2026. Only graded school events, illness or emergencies will be considered excused absences. Other absences (such as vacations, or other events) are not excused and may result in being removed from the production.

All Callbacks, meetings, rehearsals, and productions are held at our location at Springwater Church in Gresham. 3445 SE Hillyard Rd.

​

Callbacks: If your student receives a callback, that will take place on Wednesday March 18th & Thursday March 19th from 6:00m-9:30pm in person. Receiving a callback does not mean your student is cast. Not receiving a callback does not mean your student is cut. We expect to cast the production soon after that.

We welcome students without previous theater experience.

This production will have in person auditions. After you read through this page, click on the button to be taken to our audition registration form. Once you complete that form, you will receive  confirmation that we received your form, and a link to our signup sheet for in person auditions.

​

Auditions will take place on Friday March 13th 6-9pm, Saturday March 14th 9-11:30am and 1-5pm. 

​

You must submit your registration to audition by 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026. 

​​

You must complete the registration form in order to sign up for an audition slot.​

What

  • We are accepting auditions between the ages of 7-18. Students must be 7 at the first day of rehearsal.

  • Prepare a 30-60 second monologue (not from Fiddler on the Roof) for your in person audition.

  • Bring a head shot photo (minimum size 4"x6") with your name written on the back

  • Music Preparation: Click Here

  • All auditioners should prepare “Tradition” (boys sing Tradition – Men, girls sing Tradition – Women).
    Anyone auditioning for a specific role should also prepare the additional song listed for that character which can be found on the Music Preparation Link.

  • Callbacks: Wednesday March 18th & Thursday March 19th, 2026 6-9:30pm

  • Production Dates, Pick-Up Rehearsal: June 5th-14th, 2026

Participation Fee & Show Information

  • There is a $200 tuition fee to participate in this production

  • Please note that it is the policy of Eastside Theater to never turn away a student based on ability to pay. Please do not let that be a barrier to auditioning. We also offer payment plans and partial scholarships. Please talk to the Production Management Team for more information about this.

Your successful audition submission requires completion of this form. Once completed, you will be sent an email confirmation with a link to sign up for an audition slot. You MUST sign up for an audition slot to be guaranteed of an audition.

If you have multiple children auditioning, you must submit a separate completed form for each child. You will be given an option to submit another audition at the end of the form.
