ABOUT ETC

For 20 years Eastside Theater Company (formerly Corbett Children's Theater) has been enriching the lives of children and adults through the performing arts in East Multnomah and Clackamas counties.

Staging at least four productions each year, we train young artists ages 4-18 and adult volunteers to capture the imagination of audiences of all ages in our local community and beyond.

We believe that through the power of the performing arts, we can create a positive, supportive, nurturing environment that prepares young people to face life's challenges with confidence. We foster the innate creativity and curiosity of youth while encouraging critical and independent thinking.

Eastside Theater Company seeks to be a model of excellence in theater. We provide a professional quality performance arena encompassing all aspects of theater, both technical and artistic. We develop the skills of teamwork, self confidence and collaboration in members.

The mission of Eastside Theater Company is to provide entertaining, professional quality theater, performed by children for audiences of all ages. We educate, challenge and inspire youth, support the learning environment and build strong community values.

OUR HISTORY

Eastside Theater Company's roots go back over twenty years to the founding of Corbett Children's Theater in 1998, with the first production taking place in the backyard of the show's director. Since then Eastside Theater Company has expanded and attracted hundreds of students and thousands of audience members from the surrounding areas and adopted our new name of Eastside Theater Company (ETC) in 2016 to better represent the organization. ETC has been happy to call Gresham our home for over four years with both the rehearsal space and performance venue located within Gresham and Multnomah County.
